Your LIVALL PikaBoost has been carefully manufactured, has passed many quality assurance checks, and has been thoroughly tested before shipment. Warranties are always shady and confusing. So we decided to make ours as simple and as easy to understand as possible.

 

VARIOUS WARRANTY PERIODS

The PikaBoost purchased from different platforms takes advantage of various warranty periods. Please check it below to view the warranty periods of your purchased items.

 

Purchase from Kickstarter:

• Two-Year Warranty

 

Purchase from Indiegogo:

• One-Year Warranty

 

Purchase from LIVALL Online Store and agents:

*Notes:

1. The warranty period for the product starts from the shipping date plus the grace period.

2. This warranty only applies to the PikaBoost purchased on Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

 

WARRANTY COVERS & UNCOVERS

Warranty covers:

• Manufacturing defects

• Not performing like it’s supposed to when normal uses

 

Warranty does not cover:

• Changes in the appearance of the product.

• Failures or breakages due to misuse, neglect, or intentional damage.

• 3rd party repair or customization.

• Consumable materials such as natural consumption, wear and tear, and aging of the housing, plug-in parts, and battery cells.

• Non-hardware-based technical problems.

• Products without the LIVALL logo.

• Cleanliness or regular maintenance.

• Accessories including the remote controller, USB-C cable, screws, etc.

 

LIABILITY

LIVALL is not liable for damage to your bike (including your seatpost and rear tire), clothing, or anything in your surrounding environment as a result of using it.

LIVALL is not liable for bodily injury to yourself or others as a result of using our stuff, so please be careful when you’re out there having fun.

LIVALL is also not liable for traffic fines or tickets as a result of setting a non-corresponding region in the APP when you are using PikaBoost.

 

• LEGAL STUFF

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER TORT, OR ANY STRICT LIABILITY THEORY, WILL LIVALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

FAQs

- Limited Warranty

If a defect occurs as the result of the Product’s intended use according to the care instructions during the Warranty Period, we will repair or replace, at our discretion, the defective product or part.

The warranty does not cover defects caused by third-party modifications, repairs, or replacement parts. Punctures, scratches, normal wear and tear, and the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use are not warranted.

Please don’t interpret our warranty as a license to misuse, neglect, or intentionally destroy your products. We won't replace stolen or lost items. We also reserve the right to change this policy in the future.

 

- Not Performing Like It’s Supposed To

If the PikaBoost fails to perform its core function during the period of the warranty, this will be replaced unless it is caused by abnormal use of the product.

 

- Changes in Appearance

Also known as cosmetic wear and tear. It is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Moving parts will wear out and batteries will age over time. And while we choose the best materials available for the application, all materials degrade over time with use and exposure to the elements. Therefore, natural wear and tear are not included in the warranty.

 

- 3rd Party Repair or Customization

The warranty does not cover defects caused by third-party modifications, repairs, or replacement parts.

 

- Remote Locations Shipping Fee

Customers located in remote locations will cover the difference between the standard shipping fee (converted by LIVALL) and the shipping fee to send the replacement to that remote location.

 

- Warranty of Repaired Product

Repaired products continue to enjoy warranty services within the warranty period, covering only re-repair if necessary and not consequential damages. If the warranty period is less than three months from the end, the replaced parts have a three-month limited warranty from the date of replacement. Replaced parts belong to the manufacturer, and appropriate costs may be charged when necessary.

 

- How to Implement Privilege to Free Warranty Service

1. The purchase of the product within the specified product warranty period of normal use, non-human performance failure of the product;

2. No unauthorized disassembly, no modification, or addition other than the official manual guidelines, other non-human caused by the failure.

3. Provide valid proof of purchase, documents, and bill numbers.

 

- Free Warranty Circumstances

√ Since the purchase of the product within the specified product warranty period of normal use, non-human performance failure of the product.

√ No unauthorized disassembly, no modification, or addition other than the official manual guidelines, other non-human caused by the failure.

√ Provide valid proof of purchase, documents, and bill numbers.

 

The following cases are not covered by the free product warranty service:

× The occurrence of man-made collisions and burn accidents not caused by the quality of the product itself.

× Damage caused by unauthorized modification, disassembly, repair, etc., not guided by the official manual or not performed by a LIVALL-authorized repair center.

× Damage caused by incorrect installation, use, and operation without following the instruction manual.

× Damage caused by accident, abuse (including exceeding the working load), improper use, or improper storage (such as rodent damage, and liquid infiltration).

× Damage caused by the customer's private repair of the parts without official instructions.

× Damage caused by improper circuit modification, or improper use of the power battery without the official instructions.

× Damage caused by using PikaBoost without following the product manual.

× Damage caused by manipulation in harsh environments, such as high winds, thunderstorms, excessively high or low temperature, excessive humidity or dryness, high altitude, etc.

× Damage caused by manipulation in a complex electromagnetic environment or strong interference sources, such as mining areas, transmission towers, high-voltage lines, substations, etc.

× Damage caused by manipulation in the case of mutual interference with other wireless devices, such as transmitters, map signals, WiFi signal interference, etc.

× Damage caused by forced use in the case of aging or damage to parts.

× Damage caused by reliability and compatibility problems when used simultaneously with non-LIVALL-certified third-party components.

× Damage caused by insufficient discharge due to insufficient power or use of batteries of questionable quality.

× Damage caused by torn or altered machine serial numbers, factory labels, and other markings.

× Failure to send the corresponding item within 7 natural days after contacting LIVALL to confirm the warranty service.
